The radio commercial... read more says Scottsdale Academy is NOT a drop off service. Quoting straight from the mouth of Shelby, the Director, Scottsdale is a “glorified babysitting service”. And I would agree with this because we experienced just that. Scottsdale treats your kids like they’re a disposable. No help or growth if they’re struggling in any area of life as a three year old. Do your child and yourself a favor and do not send them here.

I had personally worked at Scottsdale Academy for a little over 3 years before becoming pregnant. From the owners, directors and teachers - I knew my baby would be taken care of and loved. 3 years later I had twins and again no question of where they would go but Scottsdale Academy. The cleanliness, learning environment and knowing their kids on a personal level is something you can’t pass up when trusting others with your children. My oldest loves going to school and constantly talks about his teachers and friends at home. When you’re a parent who works and can’t be with your child for 8+ hours a day, this is where you want your children to be!

The teachers love each child, and the office staff, Shelby, Britany and Darry, are responsive and understanding. When my son had a stroke at 18 months old, they were incredibly accommodating to him and his needs. His teachers and other staff ensured he would have a welcoming place to come back to once he was released from the hospital. Each of his teachers and staff members helped make reasonable accommodations for him and his physical needs. I have recommended Scottsdale @ Southwood to 3 of my coworkers, and all of them enrolled their babies. We will miss calling Scottsdale home as our son graduates and moves on to Kindergarten. If you want to know your child is well taken care of and loved every day when you drop them off, pick Scottsdale.

We LOVE Scottsdale! Our daughter has been in their care since she was two months old, and we have had a wonderful experience. The staff is so... read more caring, and communicates very well, so I never worry that they are going to “miss” something. Our baby clearly loves going to school- she grins at the workers whenever we drop her off and is always in a great mood when we pick her up. Because our daughter was a preemie, she receives various therapy services (OT, PT, Speech), and Scottsdale is fantastic about letting her providers come see her at school. We would strongly recommend Scottsdale to any family looking for daycare for their child.

The staff are amazing people who make every effort to ensure that each day is a great one for the children. My children would come home with new songs and snippets of information that they had absorbed from their days at school and I have watched as they have thrived in Scottsdale’s caring and educational environment. The hardest thing we have to do as parents is to trust the most precious part of ourselves in the care of others and the staff at Scottsdale has made the environment one that my family has loved to be a part of.

I'm a first-time mother vulnerable to worrying excessively but found complete peace leaving my child at Scottsdale. You will be hard pressed to find the same quality of administrators, educators, and support staff anywhere else... this facility is filled with exceptional people.

Our kids are happy here! The staff and teachers are all terrific. Highly recommend!
