Scottsdale Academy Covid-19 Protocol

Scottsdale Academy wants to provide you with information on safety measures we have put in place for your child’s safety and our staff’s well-being.

Scottsdale Academy…….

N
has children wash their hands when they first enter the preschool, after diaper changes/bathroom, before each snack, before lunch, if they sneeze, after each outdoor/playground time and any other time that warrants it. The CDC handwashing recommendations are already a part of our daily life here at Scottsdale Academy.
N
has tried to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19 by utilizing specialty equipment:

  • Scottsdale Academy recently has 12 HVAC units at our Fallschase school and all 10 HVAC units at our Southwood school outfitted with state-of-the-art Duct Mounted Auto-Cleaning Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization (NPBI) systems. Every unit at our schools have the NPBI technology to purify the air by eliminating possible airborne viruses, particles, allergens, bacteria, mold and odors through the use of positive and negative ions. Passing through an ionization field causes harmful compounds to break into one or more of four basic elements: oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide or water vapor. The ionization generated by the NPBI technology flows with the air into the space and will break apart the RNA/DNA cell structures for both airborne and surface pathogens until the Hydrogen is removed and the pathogen is no longer able to exist.
  • Both preschools have a ZONO Sanitizing Cabinet, a revolutionary system that sanitizes toys and manipulatives, rest mats, electronics, soft play items, infant walkers, mattresses, bouncy seats, activity tables, and more.
  • Scottsdale Academy has two sets of specialized Meritech automatic handwashing stations in the front foyers of both locations. Instead of waiting to wash their hands after entering their classroom, children can after stepping only a few feet into our preschools. These systems are fully automated and clinically proven to remove more than 99.9% of harmful pathogens from hands in only 12 seconds.
  • purchased a Sterymax Electrostatic Disinfectant Sprayer system. This sprayer produces electrostatically charged droplets that create a field in the spray plume that is magnetically drawn to any surface allowing for more compete 360-degree coverage of targeted surfaces and objects. The disinfectant used meets the EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-VoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.

Scottsdale Academy hopes to minimize cross-contamination of germs between students. It is our wish that this additional equipment may play even a small role in helping keep our little ones healthier all year long. Thank you for the opportunity to have your family as part of our Scottsdale Academy family.

Sincerely,

Roy & Jennifer Keister
