Katelin is a passionate advocate for early childhood education and currently serves as Area Director for Scottsdale Academy. With more than 15 years of experience in both the classroom, as well as in leadership roles where she is effective in recruiting, mentoring and developing a strong teaching team. She is deeply committed to supporting teachers, partnering with families and ensuring every child receives a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Katelin holds a National Child Development Associate Credential (CDA), Florida’s Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program (VPK) Endorsement and Director’s Credential, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. She believes that positive relationships are at the heart of successful schools and strives to create welcoming, inclusive environments where children, staff, and families feel valued and supported.

Katie serves as the Assistant Director at our Southwood school, bringing years of valuable experience and a deep passion for early childhood education. She has been a familiar face to many families, opening our school each morning and serving as one of our outstanding Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) teachers. Throughout her time at Scottsdale, Katie has continually taken on additional responsibilities, demonstrating exceptional leadership, dedication, and a genuine commitment to the success of our school community. These qualities have naturally led her into her role as Assistant Director.

Katie is passionate about building strong relationships with children, families, and staff to ensure every child receives the highest quality care and education—and she is always ready to greet little ones with a smile, a warm welcome, and plenty of hugs.
